Our Education

The Department believes that an economic major should have both a strong theoretical foundation, and a practical knowledge of economics. In addition to a curriculum that covers core education, basic economic theory, and a wide range of electives, therefore, the department also arranges corporate visits, provides internship opportunities, and invites guest lecturers from a variety of industries.

Undergraduate

The Department of Economics offers a four-year undergraduate program leading to a Bachelor of Arts (BA) Degree. For the undergraduate program, in addition to teaching economics, we emphasize the nurturing of students' analytical ability and quantitative skills. We believe that with abilities in these two essential areas, students are able to learn much about economics on their own.

Graduate

The Department offers a two-year program leading to the degree of Master of Arts (MA). In the first semester, the program emphasizes training in economic theory, logical reasoning, and quantitative methods. Starting from the second semester the students take electives and develop interest in a field in which they will work for their thesis.
